Our Mouths Were Wet Lyrics

I paint the fields that your mouth sent
(I pay the rent)
I struck a deal with your boss, "Ten"
(My shaky legs)

How the fields are golden,
And all the flowers on her hair!
How my heart jumps through the air,
just as much as our mouths were wet.

I keep the years in a lunch pail.
(She sings real good)
I smoked the hill, Uncle German.
(I broke a heel)

I found you!
I found you on the way to meet you...

It sounds like he says "I paint the fields that your mouth sent, I paint them red, I paint them red", rather than "I pay the rent".

I loves this song. :]

It actually is "I pay the rent," as strange as it may seem. I wrote them, so yeah. That might've been a good idea though.

It's basically a song that portrays all the nonsensical feelings and thoughts when someone is in love.

wow you really wrote that? i really like this song, the flute? is pretty awesome. i think i kind of get "i found you on the way to meet you" but its unexplainable for me, though the lyric itself sounds kind of non-sensical, i understand it in a weird way.. anyways, good luck to you, and tell those major labels to fuck off, indie has always sounded better :-)
