Mussolini vs. Stalin Lyrics

Mussolini was a-shaving, whistling Tarantella
Stalin was keeping eye on barbeque
When their fish line bell started to jingle
Mussolini caught a-nothing, Stalin caught two

"You know, my friend, it's a kind of pretty"
Said Josef Stalin and loosened up his straps
Mussolini turn to him, with a restling glitter
Mussolini turn to him, and then, then he said, "Yah!"

Mussolini said, "Yaaaah yah yaaah yah"
Mussolini said, "Yaaaah yah yaaah yaaah"
Mussolini said, "Yaaaah yaah yah yah yaah"

wow, no comments from anyone yet?

well i think this osng is about how dictators ruled Europe for so long, and they all had this "take over the world" view. And this is how they are fighting in the eyes of the people, but they are ruling together really, kind of like we all think the gas companies are doing "haha shell lets see, if you sell your gas for 3.50 a gallon, and i'll sell mine for 3.45 at Exxon, then next week we'll both go up to 3.60! muahaha, lets go check on the microwave pizza!"

and not to brag, but i saw gogol bordello with primus, i got to hold Eugene's hand while he hung over the crowd, pretty amazing.

Their fish-catching results could partly reflect their success as dictators. Stalin died at a ripe old age having utterly transformed his country and left a legacy as the second most notorious tyrant of modern history, while Mussolini was slaughtered by his own people after utterly failing at everything.

That Mussolini was shaving and whistling while Stalin kept an eye on the Barbie might indicate Stalin's pragmatism and ruthlessness as oppose to Mussolini's vanity, empty posturing and ultimate ridicule.

The idea of Mussolini and Stalin wrestling as oppose to seriously fighting could refer to their respective participations in the Second World War - the two never really had a proper showdown: Mussolini mucked around in North Africa, Stalin mullered Hitler on the Eastern Front.
