Under the Blacklight Lyrics
When you get sober
Will you get kinder?
Because when you get uptight
It's such a drag
When I get older
I won't remember
Until that day comes
I've got something on you
Under the blacklight
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
I'll be waiting
Under the blacklight
Under the blacklight
Even dead men
Lie in the their coffins
It's been a long time
Since you felt better
Under the blacklight
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
I'll be waiting
Under the blacklight
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
Under the blacklight
Somewhere in Laredo
Borders a soft man
Like a black widow
I'll be crawling
Under the blacklight
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
Under the blacklight
Down in the valley
Up in the dark blue
Under the blacklight
Under the blacklight
Will you get kinder?
Because when you get uptight
It's such a drag
I won't remember
Until that day comes
I've got something on you
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
I'll be waiting
Under the blacklight
Lie in the their coffins
It's been a long time
Since you felt better
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
I'll be waiting
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
Under the blacklight
Borders a soft man
Like a black widow
I'll be crawling
Out in the garden
Into the pale moon
Under the blacklight
Up in the dark blue
Under the blacklight
Under the blacklight

well, when things are under black light they tend to stick out, like lint on a black t-shirt pops out and stuff, like imperfections... anyone want to build on that?
This song is about killing Blake.
interesting.. im not sure why this was chosen as the title to the album.. i woudl def not consider the best song on the album.
i really like this song, shows off jenny's voice and i like the intro
i agree with tomorrow_tomorrow about the blacklight concept of things usually unseen in normal lighting that stand out when examined carefully, in fact jenny says that in the september spin magazine. so i think that's why the album is entitled "under the blacklight" because this whole album is about the unseen parts of LA, the less pure (prostitutes, gypsies, etc etc)
don't forget runaway brides! xDD
Is it about revenge perhaps? Jenny (our narrator) is fed up with an unkind drunk guy, and she's "got something" on him. And whoever is it will get their just desserts that day when she crawls "under the blacklight" and...honestly, I'm not sure if she'll kill him or just reveal her master plan.
when 'she' gets old and is still living with her dick of a husband she's going to kill him in the night/black with a full moon/light.
I really love the line "Even dead men lie in their coffins..." And it sort of makes sense with what HellBent1337 said about killing the asshole of a guy. The narrator is saying that he'll still lie to her when he's dead.
