Deliver Us Lyrics
This world is dying everyday
don't let it come between us
our fate has traveled this far
and now the storm brings us faster to a close
brimming with pathetic prose
vacate your stolen hearts
as if nobody's seen us
and empty out your pockets
you needn't bring
anything where we're going
and to think we created this monster
crawling in and walking out on us
to think that we craft our own disasters
falling in and falling out of hope
don't leave me, I need this
unleashed and unafraid, us castaways
calling out release us, propelling towards
insidious decay at an alarming rate
and to think we created this monster
crawling in and walking out on us
to think that we craft our own disasters
falling in and falling out of hope
don't leave me, give me release
don't sink down into defeat
only when you're through fleeing
can you save yourself deliver us
don't let it come between us
our fate has traveled this far
and now the storm brings us faster to a close
brimming with pathetic prose
as if nobody's seen us
and empty out your pockets
you needn't bring
anything where we're going
crawling in and walking out on us
to think that we craft our own disasters
falling in and falling out of hope
unleashed and unafraid, us castaways
calling out release us, propelling towards
insidious decay at an alarming rate
crawling in and walking out on us
to think that we craft our own disasters
falling in and falling out of hope
don't sink down into defeat
only when you're through fleeing
can you save yourself deliver us

This world is dying everyday Don't let it come between us Our fate has traveled this far And now the storm brings us faster to a close Brimming with pathetic prose---- it means: that the world is full of shit (no lie there) and they cant let it come between their love for each other, their destiny to bring them together has brought them that far. theirs something trying to tear them apart and it's almost doin just that
paragraph 2:Vacate your stolen hearts As if nobody's seen us And empty out your pockets You needn't bring Anything where we're going stolen heart, meaning that they stole each others hearts and to make it seem that no one else noticed that (sort of like romeo and julliet)
Paragraph 3:And to think we created this monster Crawling in and walking out on us To think that we craft our own disasters Falling in and falling out of hope The monster being their love for each other cus its just consuming them, that it brings them together but tears them apart, that its their fault for what happend, for them falling in love, that they fall for each other, but fall out of love at the same time she's attempting to leave himÂ
paragraph 4 don't leave me, I need this Unleashed and unafraid, us castaways Calling out release us, propelling towards Insidious decay at an alarming rate
Joe doesn't want Sally to leave him, he can;t be without her, he needs her love and to love her, that is dying really fast, hes dying inside without her without... her love
paragraph 6:Â Don't leave me, give me release Don't sink down into defeat Only when you're through fleeing Can you save yourself deliver us
Joe can't be without her, he needs her to love him to free his love for her, He doesn't want her to leave, he doesnt want her to give up on their love, only when she belives in herself, and their love can their love be free.
LMAO maybes shes a little off

Your friend is a dumb bitch. A lot of people (especially girls) think that all songs are about a girl and love and all that crap, when usually the meaning is much different, and they think if the word "you" is in there that they must be talking about a girl. But when you're in high school, I guess that's as deep as things are going to get in their minds. This album seems to have the theme of "save yourself". The idea that we all have the power to overcome things and the only way we can do it...

But when you're in high school, I guess that's as deep as things are going to get in their minds. This album seems to have the theme of "save yourself". The idea that we all have the power to overcome things and the only way we can do it is to look to ourselves.
And your theory was way off too. John Henry is an atheist. They have songs criticizing religion, most notably a little song called "No God". That might give you a little hint as to what the lyricist believes.
no comments? feels like an invocation (though a strange place for one at the end of an album and a classical muse reference is unlikely) most of this song is straight forward save one simple question - come between whom? answer this and you may be able to discern the other rampant pronouns.
"come between whom?"
I think that he is saying to not let the troubles of the world come between him and the person he is singing to.
I'm pretty sure the chorus is wrong. It's "Falling in and falling out of love." You can hear the "v" sound before the next line starts.
Other than that, I agree with wiggin and samwalton. It's most likely about how the "you" in the song walked out on the "me" because of troubles. The "me" is singing about it, saying that the "you" should not have let those troubles come between them. "me" says "Don't leave me, I need this," revealing he (?) still wants her (?).
