Machine destroying man?
I think this song is about human nature its connection to conflicts, battle, wars etc. It is inevitable that we or "our future breed" will "bring clouds of war". The message is kind of apocalyptic, finding comfort in the fact that the future of humanity is short ("our future breed is the last"). Besides these dark themes there is also the idea of hope ("dreams of the new sun"). To summarize, I think it's about how in our children rest the chance of destruction as well as salvation...pretty vague but
