A Head With Wings Lyrics

I got a head with wings (x3)
And I can see so far away I can see so clear
You would not believe the view up hear
I got a head with wings
A head with wings
Now I'm floating around up here way above the clouds
So high about the ground
And the only thing that holds my head to the ground
Is this one little skinny string
I got a head with wings
A head with wings
I got a head with yea oh
A head with wings
I got a head with wings (x3)
And I can see so far away yea so far away
I can see the shadows fall across your face
I got a head with wings
A head with wings
I got a head with yea yea
A head with wings (x2)
Yea (x2)

To me, this song is about being high. The narrator is telling everyone how great the view is up where he is; he's telling everyone how great he feels while he's high.

"And the only thing that holds my head to the ground is this one little skinny string" could mean that he's taking a lot of risks by being "way above the clouds", and that it can take very little for him to experience the drawbacks.

"I can see the shadows fall across your face" means that the people around him are sad (or perhaps even angry at him) because he's constantly high.

Lastly, the phrase "head with wings" could imply that what's lifting him into the air is all in his head.
