In Time Lyrics

No fear, no loss, no tears,
The time is almost here.
Our dreams will all come true, I promise you,
‘Cause I can see for miles and miles.
In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night (all night, all night).
In time, yes, everything will be all right (all right, all right).
It’ll take time but we’re going far,
You and me, yes I know we are.
In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night.
All night.

One heart, one soul, one mind,
Our eyes will not be blind.
We’ll see this rain come down without this sound,
We can all, we can all break free.
In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night (all night, all night).
In time, yes, everything will be all right (all right, all right).
It’ll take time but we’re going far,
You and me, yes I know we are,
In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah.
In time . . .

In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night (all night, all night).
In time, yes, everything will be all right (all right, all right).
It’ll take time but we’re going far,
You and me, yes I know we are,
In time we’ll be dancing in the streets all night.
All night, we’ll be dancing,
We’ll be dancing, we’ll be dancing,
All night . . .
We’ll be dancing in the streets all night.
Dancing . . .
In time, we’ll be dancing . . . all night.
We’ll be dancing in the streets all night.

does anyone know what album this is from?

This song is off the "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" soundtrack.

If you google around you can find some hard-to-find versions of it, as well.

This song never fails to make me smile, i just love it. First heard it on Bill and Teds excellent adventure and in response to YAAMANs questions, it on the soundtrack to that film.

Wow i hadn't heard this song for years and years until a good friend sent me it on youtube. I am trying to work out wther it is purely about the singer saying to a friend that things will be okay for the both of them or if it is has romantic connotations to it also. Such as with the lines "One heart, one soul, one mind,Our eyes will not be blind. Itll take time but were going far, You and me, yes I know we are" .. i'd like to think that there are romantic connotations to is as the friend who sent me this video well, things are complicated but i am in love with her but she needs time to get over some really tough personal troubles and i'm not sure if she feels the same for me but i suspect she does as there is a little bit of history between us in that way. Y'know, i'm just gonna go ahead and cauthiously assume that she is telling me that 'it'll take time that we're going far, you and me i know we are'.... :-) :-(

*Sorry for the long bio, lol.

This song is the most inspiring songs I've ever heard. I think it means the same thing for pretty much any situation. It's saying that eventhough times are rough right now, everything's going to be just fine in the future. Love and peace will eventually come and we'll be able to do amazing things to make everything better.

Air guitar greeting

Like most people, I heard it from Bill & Ted during the classic 'in the future' scene.

Great song, great lyrics and vocals

Robbie Robb has never confirmed it, but as this song was written by an Afrikaner in the 1980s who was anti-racist, I'm assuming this song with about the crumbling apartheid regime. I also suspect the line "We’ll see this rain come down without this sound" should be "We’ll see this reign come down without this sound". It also sounds like the backing vocalists are black. Again, possibly an indication of the songs meaning. Great song!

Song Meaning

@WillyC1234 Robbie Robb is South African so it makes sense that In Time would be about the fall of the arpetheid which happened in the late 80s when the song was written.
