Making peace with the undertow
Sleeping where roses cannot grow
Forgetting everything I know
Playing with matches in the dark
Choosing to trust who I am not
Watching the world burn down and laughing at the sparks
Don’t have to live with the ‘do or die’
Smiling is not a compromise
Free from the need to run and hide
The [paper dolls?] dance
We do what we can
And find the strength in the weakness in letting go
I’ve come to terms with the undertow
The story stays the memory goes
I realize this is what I chose
I read the lines of the fining drugs
Saw all the things I could live without
Already made it through the aftermath
Sleeping where roses cannot grow
Forgetting everything I know
Choosing to trust who I am not
Watching the world burn down and laughing at the sparks
Smiling is not a compromise
Free from the need to run and hide
We do what we can
And find the strength in the weakness in letting go
The story stays the memory goes
I realize this is what I chose
Saw all the things I could live without
Already made it through the aftermath

I've only heard this on Katy rose's myspace a couple of times (I couldn't find it on itunes or anything else) but I think it's a beautiful song. The "undertow" is something that pulls you back in water. So I guess this song is about something pulling her back?? I'm not sure.
"I read the lines of the fining drugs" I think it's "I read the lines of the final draft" but i'm not totally sure.
