I think the song is talking about the general idea of forgiving and forgetting. Hence the line "If I don't forget it will kill me... and to stop the remembering." He's saying that it is hard to always forget when you forgive someone. In this song, it sounds like something that is quite difficult to forget. Another idea is similar to smurfpiss. He's talking about how if you let regret and burdens build up without reaching for God, you will lose yourself in regret. That's my basic take. Oh, and the song is awesome!

to me it is clearing about forgiving, i can relate to this song on such a level. that feeling how you want to forgive but you just can't let it go. how you ask god to help. how when you don't forgive your basically stuck, and that not forgiving hurts yourself away. that feeling of not moving on cause because you just won't forgive. how it just eats away at you. bryce is just waiting, becuase thats all he can do to hope to forgive. because forgiveness takes time and he knows that "So, how can I skip the time I need To stop the remembering" he wants to get rid of the burden and just forgive so he can finally live. because when you don't forgive it is a burden that takes a toll on you. well now im just ranting, its just totally get this song.

i think the best line of the song is "If I don't forgive it'll kill me" it is like the main theme of the song to move on you have to forgive.

this is such a good song, musically it is not my favorite, but the lyrics are so good and so true, for anyone who has ever had trouble forgiving someone they must totally be able to understand this song.
