A Song Is Not A Business Plan

I love him for saying this. It just seems like music is trying to turn itself into an industry, remove any originality, and sell things that it knows will SELL, without taking risks or being unique. :]

AWESOME> i love them for saying this, it's exactly how i feel. it seems almost all of the so-called artists being supported these days by many people are only PRODUCTS. they are far from the word artists or even musicians. i'm not targetting all of them, some are good, but cough-cough fergiebritneyvariousrappers do not deserve the name 'artist'. ever.

He's telling everyone, especially his fans, that he isn't selling out like many other artists. Money is not his reason for singing, and he won't let it control what he does with his music.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. it's pretty self explanitory, so yeah. it's about all those sell outs and so-called artists letting the industry use them as puppets.

i htink he's basically saying all the music nowadays sounds the same to him. no diversity or originality. it's like an echo, but its a different band. they all do the same thing, just to be famous.

he's saying what he wants to say, and he's not gonna leave that just to make it.

is that saying that he wants to be bigger, but he can't leave what he's doing now or something??

Ok, so it's pretty obvious what most of the song is about, and it's great that he said it. But what is this bit all about:

...?? Clearly it has to tie in with the theme somehow, but how?

His van had broken down again and he had to cancel all the dates for the Canadian tour. He was pretty bummed and frustrated and it's when he wrote this song.

these are actually references to him being a christian artist. many christian artists sell out within the first year or two and hes saying that hes going to continue being a christian artist and wouldnt give it up just for the industry.

this whole cd is all sooo great. there s not a single song i dont like. bryce = amazinggg
