Yeah, he did. This song is about their progression and how they didn't mean to abandon any old fans. They're influenced by the music they listen to, and as they mature, so does their choice in music. They're not going to go back to their old style for some people who don't like who they are now. It's kind of like, this is who we are. Take it or leave it.

I loved all their albums since 2001, no matter how popular they get, i'll still love them.
I have been listening to these guys since I was 9, I have loved every album more and more as they go on (exception being WHOSO, the best album OF ALL TIME) Direction has hit me as 10X better than the previous. I have bought 3 copies to support the band, and I have bought 6 shirts since the album came out. These guys had better keep going, I am in love more and more.
whats so mature about writing like 4 songs based solely on how your maturing without making better music? very dissappointed in this release and im postting my dissappointment on this song cause i found it utterly obnoxious, maybe they should stick to girl songs if this is the best they can come up with

the starting line gets better with every album they put out. their sound is maturing and i love it. ken's definitely not the scrawny bleach-blond fifteen year old that he started out in tsl as (ok... maybe still scrawny, but he's hot anyway). i absolutely love tsl and the way their music just keeps getting better. i can't get enough of direction.
