Way With Words Lyrics
There seems to be no difference
Between present tense and the pretense
Cause it's all a part of what you've been trying to say
Well, you've got all the right reasons
To write red-hot rants for the weekend
But they're not a part of what you've been trying to say
They say you lost your way
Who knows the right way to go?
You've lost your way with words
Or at least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
And to me, what could be worse?
What could be worse?
When your father passed down his wisdom
Sometimes I think he must have spilled some
Cause you lost the sight of what you've been trying to say
And I know that nobody's perfect
Well, no one would want to sound desperate
Unless that's a part of what you've been trying to say
You've lost your way with words
Or at least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
And to me, what could be
What could be worse?
Oh, you could dance around
Dance around with nothin' to say
You've lost your way with words
At least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
You've lost your way with words
Or at least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
And to me
Yeah, to me, to me, to me, to me
What could be worse?
Between present tense and the pretense
Cause it's all a part of what you've been trying to say
Well, you've got all the right reasons
To write red-hot rants for the weekend
But they're not a part of what you've been trying to say
Who knows the right way to go?
Or at least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
And to me, what could be worse?
What could be worse?
Sometimes I think he must have spilled some
Cause you lost the sight of what you've been trying to say
And I know that nobody's perfect
Well, no one would want to sound desperate
Unless that's a part of what you've been trying to say
Or at least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
And to me, what could be
What could be worse?
Dance around with nothin' to say
At least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
Or at least that's what I heard
You've lost your way with words
And to me
Yeah, to me, to me, to me, to me
What could be worse?

*you could dance around with nothin to say
wow, i love this song and am surprised a lot of people haven't commented on it!
i'm thinking it's about someone who wont talk at all about anything important (like their feelings) and the writer is angry about it. the two people seem to be talking around in circles because the subject of the song won't speak up.
I like how the singer starts to get really angry then it calms down then at the end it goes back to being angry. There's actually something about the start and the lyrics in this song that suggest something slightly angrier could come in and it does but it suprises you when it happens.
"They say you lost your way Who knows the right way to go?"
basically, kenny's voice right there is heaven on earth.
*well no one would to sell just bread
