This song is amazing. When they sing; "dressed in black, clutching a red rose (hold on, hold on, hold on)" and "let my song, sing on forever, I'll still love you when I'm gone"...eerily brilliant.
I love this song. It reminds me of my friend when she passed away. She was hit by a transit train-almost like a car on pavement-and this song brings me back to when she was here. I always cry when I listen to this song. But, nonetheless it's an amzing song.
My friend and I have talked about the meaning of this song multipul times.
I'm pretty sure it's about a person who is really, really sad and feels hopeless with all relationships in his life. "i will love you when i'm gone" (brilliant line) pretty much means - when he's dead he'll still love her. right? so obviously a relationship ended bad.
