no, smallezerchina is on to something: this song is definitely essentialist and stupid. i'm a straight guy with (read 'who endured) quite a bit of youthful experience with the punk scene, and it is as guilty of crushing individuality if anything is.
"what is really being said" ? if the band writes a song that is open to easy misinterpretation, just whose fault is that ?
