Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't Have Fallen In Love With?) Lyrics

You spurn my natural emotions
You make me feel like dirt
And I'm hurt
And if I start a commotion
I run the risk of losing you
And that's worse

Ever fallen in love with someone?
Ever fallen in love?
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love? (Love…)
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with

I can't see much of a future
Unless we find out what's to blame
What a shame
And we won't be together much longer
Unless we realize that we are the same

Ever fallen in love with someone?
Ever fallen in love?
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love? (Love…)
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with

You disturb my natural emotions
You make me feel like dirt
And I'm hurt
And if I start a commotion
I'll only end up losing you
And that's worse

Ever fallen in love with someone?
Ever fallen in love?
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love? (Love…)
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with

Ever fallen in love with someone?
Ever fallen in love?
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love? (Love…)
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with

Ever fallen in love?
In love with someone
Ever fallen in love? (Love…)
In love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with

Fallen in love with
Ever fallen in love with someone
You shouldn't've fallen in love with…

actualy sorry lucie thats wrong.... pete shelly (singer of the buzzcocks) said in an interview that it was about falling in love with a black girl, obviously in this day its nothing outrageous but in the punk times that the song was written. when there were alot of nationalist skin heads this was considerd lowest of the low... which is why the song was such a massive hit.... fantastic song

it says 'you make me feel I'm dirt' not 'you make me feel like dirt'. it is very clear in any recording of this song. this is only a small error but there are so so many mistakes on the original lyric postings on this site

oliver - you make me feel so old, as I remember this song coming out. I think it is probably wider than just the original story - although yes falling for someone of a different ethnic origin was frowned upon ( by both sides ), it would also cover girls falling for punks, and anyone falling for someone outside their acceptable social circle.

I had this experience where I had some feelings for this guy and he DEFINITELY had them for me. A woman just knows when a man is TOTALLY attracted to her. I think he tried really hard not to be into me. Anyway, he tried to stay away, as best he could. He tried to play games with me. The funny thing was, I think he thought sometimes that I was communicating with him (playing his game), when often it would be some random person. The whole thing was really weird. But the bottom line was, when he SAW me, in real life? He was always wishing he could be with me.

How sweet. I think he could probably relate to this song.
