i wonder if this song is based on something that happened in bradleys life. very beautiful song, sounds like a lullaby.

This song is so amazing, it reminds me of me and my boyfriend (who is now in prison) b/c we ran away from the law to mexico! but i thought it said "I'm just another brother under the glove" I don't know how you could really verify this but whatever it's still a perfect song.

I think "another brother under the club" may refer to his being around people on the occasion the song is about that were in a motorcycle club (he being under them; a non-member simply attending a party). He probably slept with the wife of a connected individual while at a party held at the fellow's house. He (likely purposefully) in the rarities version makes his voice seem to quiver at the line "I would still be true to you" after mentioning his having had a shotgun pulled on him. "There's no way out" is just referring to a bedroom with one door in which is a man with a shotgun and expressed intent to use it. "There's a halo over me" is referring to his opinion being that the ordeal was a manifestation of extreme good fortune (or a guardian angel perhaps). However I believe a member of a genre-similar band that was around at the same time is also named Angelo.

i think this song is about a guy who is kinda with this chick but isn't fully with her. he's "just another brother under the glove" meaning shes fucking other dudes, maybe angelo?. he finds her with angelo and he wants to kill that guy for fucking his girl. just another example of Bradley realizing every emotion that most guys feel especially about women. women are conniving.

So it's a guy a John. He goes to see his good time girl. He wants to run off he goes to get her stuff from the bedroom. Out walks her pimp Angelo with a shotgun.
