What Grows In Your Garden Lyrics
Well now the rain washed back yesterday
Bringing thoughts of wasted time
And the water it brought
flowed swiftly through your mind
Opening your eyes to the stars just to pray
Hoping more rain will wash your garden away
But your flowers just bloom
Ever bright ever proud
Screaming I hate you so loud
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now
Yes the weeds of consequence get more day by day
Of decisions you have better made
Paper flowers sparkle by an old tree butt
Just remember even paper flowers cut
Your garden shakes with the wind
But it will not fall down
Scattering seeds all around
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now
Somewhere on the landscape lies
A place next to your heart
But the grass grows wide and even
And soon that too will be torn apart
Over bounds sprinkling seeds to the ground.
Your garden shakes with the wind
But it will not fall down
Scattering seeds all around
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now
Bringing thoughts of wasted time
And the water it brought
flowed swiftly through your mind
Opening your eyes to the stars just to pray
Hoping more rain will wash your garden away
Ever bright ever proud
Screaming I hate you so loud
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now
Of decisions you have better made
Paper flowers sparkle by an old tree butt
Just remember even paper flowers cut
But it will not fall down
Scattering seeds all around
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now
A place next to your heart
But the grass grows wide and even
And soon that too will be torn apart
Over bounds sprinkling seeds to the ground.
But it will not fall down
Scattering seeds all around
Sister! sister tell me will you ever bow
To what grows in your garden now

It obviously talks about the saying "What you reap is what you sow" just like what is written in the bible...
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
The song deals about the "sister" who is hoping to have a good harvest/fruit from the garden with too many grass affecting her plants. The "sister" is hoping a rain will wash the garden that turned to be infested with too many unwanted inhabitants.
The song can also be a metaphor to our lives. If we let our lives to be filled by hatred and sins, our garden(lives) will not be beautiful as we have hoped for but will be filled with grass and other unwanted inhabitants. Our flowers in our garden will be killed by grass and other parasites. Once it happen, we can only pray that a rain will wash our garden away.
