The Weekly Wars Lyrics
I am my own killing moon.
The hunter and the prey.
A baptism in dirty water.
I escaped from the crucifix.
but still carry the weight.
A baptism in dirty water.
These impure thoughts lead to soulless action...
And the cycle continues!
Furthered by the thoughts of a confused soul
a man with no release.
Cornered by his own thoughts...
Slowing the rotation of the cogs and he gears.
A Halting machine...
A Haunting disease...
A man with no release!
A distant memory...
Try to live your life.
Remove myself.
I volunteer for self sacrifice.
Not anymore!
The hunter and the prey.
A baptism in dirty water.
but still carry the weight.
A baptism in dirty water.
And the cycle continues!
a man with no release.
Cornered by his own thoughts...
A Haunting disease...
A man with no release!
Try to live your life.
Remove myself.
I volunteer for self sacrifice.
Not anymore!

okay, once again TheTyrant, theres NO need for that... we can read whats already there if youre commenting what the song is about, comment WHAT THE SONG IS ABOUT.
as far as a meaning, idk exactly but maybe someone with somethnr wrong with them in the head... like not so much a retardation or anything but like theyve been misled
thats my guess anyway
"A Halting machine A Haunting disease A man with no release"
That's the correct ending.
I think this song is about someone who follows the crowd, reluctantly, instead of doing their own thing.
"These impure thoughts lead to soulless action"
yeah Javsprite :P i thought about that today when i was listening to it :P yeah i dont really think theres alot to be said about the meaning of this song, id just say that its about someones feelings at some point.... A man with no release Cornered by his own thoughts Slowing the rotation of the cogs and he gears
The only other potential meaning i could find would be a man who is constantly under stress, so much stress that it stands between him and a normal life, hence the 'slowing the rotation' part.... just a guess :P

These impure thoughts lead to soulless action These impure thoughts lead to soulless action These impure thoughts lead to soulless action These impure thoughts lead to.. lead to..
And the cycle continues Furthered by the thoughts of a confused soul A man with no release Cornered by his own thoughts Cornered by his own thoughts Furthered by the thoughts of a confused soul A man with no release Cornered by his own thoughts Cornered by his own thoughts Furthered by the thoughts of a confused soul A man with no release
Slowing the rotation Slowing the rotation Slowing the rotation Slowing the rotation
Slowing the rotation of the cogs and he gears Slowing slowing Slowing the rotation of the cogs and he gears Slowing slowing slowing slowing
A Halting machine A Haunting disease A Halting machine A Haunting disease A Halting machine A Haunting disease A man with no release A man with no release
A Halting machine A Haunting disease A Halting machine A Haunting disease A Halting machine A Haunting disease A man with no release A man with no release
they kinda sound like Saetia o Hot Cross in this song
This is the most thrilling most enticing song to see live by them. The chanting of "A Halting machine A Haunting disease A Halting machine A Haunting disease A Halting machine A Haunting disease A man with no release A man with no release"
tops off the whole set. Everyone goes "whoa, they're fuckin beast" when that part comes up. Idk it's the way jase screams it. A lot of emotion in it.
It's absolutely about alcoholism.
"I am my own killing moon" may mean that individual may be or end up being the cause of his own death
"These impure thoughts lead to soulless action" his impure thoughts drive him to do stupid things he does it over and over again, the "cycle" constantly having confused thoughts, not knowing what to do. maybe his own confusion has impaired his ability to know right from wrong
"A man with no release Cornered by his own thoughts Slowing the rotation of the cogs and he gears"
his thoughts are constant, he can never stop thinking, it may cause him a lot of anxiety and it may interfere with his everyday life, where he can't function because he has such overwhelming thoughts. it may haunt him and he has no escape or "release"
or it could completely be alcoholism.
it's either severe anxiety that he can't function properly. or alcoholism
Actually, this one is pretty easy and I guarantee you I am 100% right....
This song was co-written with their former manager (and good friend). He was struggling with Depression (haunting disease). He stopped representing the band because of his battle with depression. Int heir live DVD he does guest vocals for the song (the chorus part). Further I attended their farewell show and he was there again and they also creditted him with writing it. Also, if you listen to the bonus material ont heir live dvd they explain this as well as Texas Dolly, for which their original bassist (Smoogs) wrote and does guest vocals for as well. He had to leave the band because he has compulsive gambling issues. Awesome guy though. He stage dove onto me at the farewell show haha.
