Winter Wonder Land Lyrics
this is what it says in the CD booklet:
Mold of the fawn. I've been frozen here for days. with your lights reflecting in my face i must be cold on your lawn.
but inside i'm ok, i can live without your time where snowmen never melt instead they always shine
if you don't believe in fantasy then don't believe in fantasy but do you not believe in fatasy because it gets you down? If you don't believe it's raining I won't tell you that its raining bt do you not believe its raining just because it gets you down? If you don't believe in hapiness then don't believe in happiness but if you don't believe in happiness then don't believe in happiness but if you don't believe in happiness then man you must be down. If you don't believe you're dying then I won't tell you that you're dying but do you not believe you're dying just because it gets you down?
Our homes are all white we go dancing on the lake sleds will carry us tonight and snowflakes blow us on our way
Drifts rise to the sky rainbow hats fly down them and tears are frozen diamonds so we smile when we're crying
[end]
i personally like the last two lines, awesome.
Yeah, this is it, straight from the booklet.

Somebody should change the lyrics.
Somebody should change the lyrics.
i was listening to this on a long car trip (and you know how you get crazy in there after a while) and i got to thinking this is just like "fireworks" in the way that they're comparing peoples lives to things that dont last long (snow, fireworks). only this is written from a snowmans point of view, and he's discussing with another snowman why someone would create them in the first place, if they'd melt anyway.
"happiness" is point of living and he's wondering if it really exists, while rain indicates its getting warmer, and warps snowmen faces. i cant make any sense of "mold of the fawn" though.
"I can live without your dime (?)"
"I can live without your kind"
"Instead they all went shy"
"Instead they always shine"
"They slide to the sky"
"It splits right through the sky"
"Tears are frozen lovers (?)"
"Tears are frozen diamonds"
He's not addressing another snowman, he's addressing one of these: http://www.willenborgs.com/wlo/product_images/Wildlife/Fawn%20Trio.jpg
mold of fawn. It's a pretty common lawn ornament depending where you've been in the country.
i think its also dying instead of crying the first time.
tasty jam!
It's also dying, not crying, I believe.
For the chorus I mean.
Also, I love this song.
Im not sold on that first line.
Molt of the Sun... Mold of the Sod...
I have listened to it a few times over just now and it sounds less like anything each time.
regardless, Im hearing a "s" at the beginning of that last word and that is almost certain.
I think at the end: "Then don't believe you're dying." is really "I won't tell you that you're dying."
There's no "crying" (except in " So we smile when we're crying")in this song but I hate being a lyric nazi, it's just words afterall.
This is a bouncy kid story-style song that makes me think of building forts and walking up the creek on a bright day as a child.
