This song is beautiful and haunting and I really wish it had become more popular. The meaning is complicated but with hope in it because although he's saying he can't be (as I see it) emotionally available to the girl he loves, he still wants to be hers in the future. When he says "I can't commit to you right now..." I don't think it means he's seeing other girls; like I said before, I think it displays his problem with being emotionally available in the way the girl he's talking to deserves.
