Nod Your Head Lyrics

If you really love me baby
Better then stayin in bed
If you really love me baby, nod your head

If you really love me baby
Til you fall down dead, she said
If you ever wanna make it, nod your head

Nod it up, nod it down
Side to side, round and round

If you ever wanna prove it
Then you hang it on a thread
If you ever wanna shake it, nod your head

If you think the life your leading
Is better then the life you lead
If you like the life your livin'
Nod your head

Well nod it up, nod it down
Side to side, round and round
Round and round

If you really love me baby
Better then stayin in bed
If you really love me baby, nod your head

Pretty good, catchy song...I know McCartney's not really known for making "rock" songs anymore, but this one works well. You know if Pearl Jam or some modern rock band like them did this it would be great. But you can't go wrong with Sir Paul.

My initial thought was this was a bit of a cheeky request for oral sex.

"if you really love me baby, nod your head".

The descriptions of exactly how he wants you to nod your head make it even more likely:

"Nod it up, nod it down, Side to side, round and round"

Also, it almost seems like it's expected as appreciation for being with Sir Paul, for being let into his lavish lifestyle:

"If you think the life your leading, Is better then the life you led... nod your head"

Lastly, I always thought the line in verse 2 said "when you're hanging by a thread" which would have been a really clever way to describe a woman on her period, and as we all have heard at one point or another, when she's on her period, then oral is the default.

I could be way off, but the visuals in this one are pretty strong.
