Rhineland (Heartland) Lyrics
Life, life is all right on the Rhine
No, but I know, but I know
I would have nowhere to go
No, but there's nowhere to go, to go
No, but I know, but I know
I would have nowhere to go
No, but there's nowhere to go, to go

Favourite.
I read somewhere that this song was written about Zach's time in Germany. I think he enjoyed his time there and even though the lyrics are minimal they express that experience quite clearly. Great song by a great band.
I can hear "I was alone" or something like this in the last verse. I think there's also something missing inbetween.
its perfect. the horns, the vocals...everything.
y'know, i know those are the lyrics Zach posted, but i swear i hear that extra line on the last verse that sounds either like:
"I was alone" or "I was at home".
i also hear "i was at home" in the first stanza and "i was alone" in the last, but they might both be the same its hard to tell.
also after "no but i, no but i know", i hear "island for your heart" :S also in the last part of the song "know" turns into "long"
Actually I got the lyrics straight from Zach so they're legitimate.
oh god this is probably the most beautiful song every written. if you seriously know zach, tell him that i want to meet him more than anyone else in the world.
