I love it how the way his voice slightly trembles when he's singing. It gives it so much emotion.
I think it's about a long distance relationship. ''Look up see the sky that I do'': Maybe he's telling her that if they look up at the sky together, they'll feel closer, since he's not there to hold her. Then he wants to let her know that she makes him happy, and he's the luckiest man alive to have her. ''And if God takes me before you, I just want you to know I love you'': He's telling her he loves her. ''I miss you, baby close your eyes, let's meet in our dreams tonight'': (My own far-fetched opinion here) He misses her and it's like he's trying to tell her 'Dream of me, because I'll be dreaming of you, always' or maybe it was a phrase that was secret and special to them, that meant something more than what it suggests. Either way, it's a beautiful song; very deep and emotional. (:

i really dont think this is about his daughter. i think its about his girlfriend, he wouldnt refer to anyone else as "baby meet me in our dreams tonight" either way, i used to never listen to this song but now i cant stop listening to it. the emotional in Craigs voice is outstanding and especially when the repetition of "you, you, you make me the happiest of men" near the end is just chilling.
Definitely one of my favourite songs ever.
I think it's about the pain of going on tour, and not knowing what might happen: being disconnected from your family and friends, but the fact that he knows the one he loves is still there, he can keep strong and think about the positive things when he misses "her".

its about the fact that when no one is there, there is always ONE person who is always by you to love. he simply states that hes happy and always will be. true love. :]
