The Only Dance Lyrics
I can see them from here
Glistening and bright
Night is here at my side
Helping me hide in shadows
This is he only
Dance I remember now
Tom tom c’est moi
The blue guitar and I
Are one
The orchestra fills the high hall
With shuffling men
High as the hall
Glistening and bright
Night is here at my side
Helping me hide in shadows
This is he only
Dance I remember now
The blue guitar and I
Are one
The orchestra fills the high hall
With shuffling men
High as the hall

Not sure what the song is about. The part most intriguing to me has to be the last three lines. Blue Guitar is an obvious symbol, and the first verse is also quite vague, but meaningful.
The blueness is an image of the transformative power of art. The last three lines come from the poem "The Man with the Blue Guitar" by Wallace Stevens which was inspired by the painting "The Old Guitarist" by Pablo Picasso.
