he is talking about himself as if he is dying because of old age because he himself experienced this feeling of being lost, not following the right thing.. "crouched over", "living in fear" he says ur not there while im going through all this, he wants to say that ppl are not there for each other, everyone is busy with himself and own interests! he says u dunno how it feels livin in all this fear, seeing all the signs of dyin so vivid.. he says i want u to help me through it .. he begs this someone to see his sick heart which is too close to death & withdrawal. But then said , all you do is hide in cowardness & fear , ignore & remorse .. "naming a kid, living wasteland" meaning goin on with ur life blindly ... didnt get the part where he says "This time you've tried All that you can turning you red " !! does anyone knows what he meant by Red?? does he mean everything wrong in life endin to no where?? cuz later on he says "Crowned hopeless The article read living wasteland This time you've tried All that you can turning you red but i will not Hide you through this I want you to help "

in this part i think he talks about how fake ppl live thinking they are crowned but they end up hopeless most of the time knowing they are doing nothing !! that what he meant by living wasteland ...

In this part, he is advising those who are not aware of the reality and what life is all about, who are living faked life, following things leadin them to no where .. he wants them to wake up and throw this hollow shiny sliver (which is their superficial life) knowin that these things will pierce through other victims who will be also cowards , judgemental, ignorants and blinded with all the shallow things in life which he compared to wearing make up and grooming onself " beauty paste".. saying that these will also recognize the reality one day just like you.

I don't think there is any hidden meaning to this song, just straight forward. To me, it seems to be about a person who has real problems/issues/big obsessions that he is trying to deal with and wants to change himself. He doesn't know if he wants to change or if he's ready to.

I think be "red" he was talking to a person who had tried to fix the world in it's current state of waste, but seeing as they also had nobody behind them to help, it wore them out. It was "turning you red" from effort.

Well kinda coming into this a lil late, but this song sticks in my mind. It may be heroin, but it could be a number of things. I am an alcoholic and I crouch over all the time my stomach feels like it is in the mail box and my heart is in the fridge. Plus abortion is also a key word. You think a man can stand up and face that fear of having a child, but he can't. At least the one's I choose. I do have however have two gorgeous babies. Eight and Sixteen. Whom I thank God for everyday, but there is the one who I cry for every day too. It could also be about rape also, cause I hear those tones too. Which I also was as a child. It goes a lot of different directions which I can understand.

Personally i think the song is about a person trying to help a drug addict but fails... Someone begging for help but everyone is "crowning him hopeless" Through out the song it talks about good intentions, your obsession and all that you can is turning you red. Obviously someone is trying to help with he or she's obsessions but turns red with anger because they cant help. Then it goes to talk about the article read living wasteland, shooting up again but this time it ending with blinding the face with beauty paste aka a funeral. Limbs ties skin tight, aka in a coffin. But wat mainly gives it away is self inflicted his perdition. Self inflicted obviously means did it to him self but perdition means loss of the soul or eternal damnation. How i took it was a drug addict begging for help wanting to get out of the hole they dug themself and feeling like no one hears them. Some one trying to help but its not enough. Addict shooting up again and ends up losing their life. Sad song but amazing with great drums.

I think the song is just about life and how we want to help the helpless but for some reason we can't change the way things are and we just have to live with this is the world is going to be.

yes this song sounds like he is either having a drug addiction or singing to someone withd rug problems but its not thats what i thought when i first herd it but hes talking about other countries and the people who cause them problems i seen them in concert and before he sang the song he said this is for all the countries that everyone judges thats not really n e better than we are with there problems you know terriost sex slaves kids with parents who doesnt give a fuck this is for everyone who cant get away but wants to and withdraws from not having a normal live without being sold or beat

Well alot of it sounds like hes being conflicted with rather or not he should commit suicide..... think of it in that way......
