This song is definitely about having a fallout with someone who was once your best friend. Rose is trying to reach out to her old friend after what seems to be a year of silence and she's finding it strange that her friend doesn't even recognize her voice over the phone after all that they've been through together. They used to share everything together, had a sister like bond, and Rose is reminiscing on the past when they were innocent, before everything changed.
Rose is also saying that she'll always be there for her friend whenever she needs her regardless if they're friends or not because she'll always love her. She's also sad that she isn't close to her anymore, because when people ask her about her friend, she doesn't know how to answer because they don't speak to each other anymore and she no longer knows what's going on in her life.
