Teeth The Size Of Piano Keys Lyrics
I dropped all of my lovers.
I stood up and screamed ' I'm in love! '
You gave it to me through the eyes, hatred.
Centuries deep and true.
I was wrong, graceless, and sick.
All of the things that i had learned had been wasted.
There was no living creature as foul as I,
and all of my poems were false.
I could feel my soul, dropping down through the mattress.
I had to leap up before it hit the floor.
and I'm so alone.
Illumination held out in front of my reaching arms.
The darker things get the better I see.
I'm so alone and so are you,
we all live and die that way.
I stood up and screamed ' I'm in love! '
Centuries deep and true.
I was wrong, graceless, and sick.
All of the things that i had learned had been wasted.
and all of my poems were false.
I could feel my soul, dropping down through the mattress.
I had to leap up before it hit the floor.
and I'm so alone.
The darker things get the better I see.
I'm so alone and so are you,
we all live and die that way.

Idk if this is accurate but I'm reading "Slaughterhouse-Five" by Kurt Vonnegut n there's a line on pg. 64 that says, "The reserves were violent, windburned, bristly men. THEY HAD TEETH LIKE PIANO KEYS." i almost jumped out of my seat in English class after i read that. Idk if Craig is an avid reader but nonetheless, i thought it was a good call on their part to title the song after the craziest book i've ever read in my life
Haha, I was just reading this and thought the same thing. According to wikipedia it is, so hurrah for us!

she's young, she said, but look at me, I have pretty ankles, and look at my wrists, I have pretty wrists o my god, I thought it was all working, and now it's her again, every time she phones you go crazy, you told me it was over you told me it was finished, listen, I've lived long enough to become a good woman, why do you need a bad woman? you need to be tortured, don't you? you think life is rotten if somebody treats you rotten it all fits, doesn't it? tell me, is that it? do you want to be treated like a piece of shit? and my son, my son was going to meet you. I told my son and I dropped all my lovers. I stood up in a cafe and screamed I'M IN LOVE, and now you've made a fool of me. . . I'm sorry, I said, I'm really sorry. hold me, she said, will you please hold me? I've never been in one of these things before, I said, these triangles. . . she got up and lit a cigarette, she was trembling all over.she paced up and down, wild and crazy.she had a small body.her arms were thin, very thin and when she screamed and started beating me I held her wrists and then I got it through the eyes:hatred, centuries deep and true.I was wrong and graceless and sick.all the things I had learned had been wasted. there was no creature living as foul as I and all my poems were false.
I'm in love by Charles bukowski
the night I was going to die I was sweating on the bed and I could hear the crickets and there was a cat fight outside and I could feel my soul dropping down through the mattress and just before it hit the floor I jumped up I was almost too weak to walk but I walked around and turned on all the lights and then I went back to bed and dropped it down again and I was up turning on all the lights I had a 7-year-old daughter and I felt sure she wouldn't want me dead otherwise it wouldn't have mattered but all that night nobody phoned nobody came by with a beer my girlfriend didn't phone all I could hear were the crickets and it was hot and I kept working at it getting up and down until the first of the sun came through the window through the bushes and then I got on the bed and the soul stayed inside at last and I slept. now people come by beating on the doors and windows the phone rings the phone rings again and again I get great letters in the mail hate letters and love letters.

cut it into tiny pieces and try to eat it
the intro to this song is amazinv and diverse. but ti think the song is touching on things that have gone wrong and the person knows how bad it really is but cant fix it since it says the darker things bet the better i see its portraying an image that states he is amost attracted do his bad ways and that he lives that way and will die that way
sorry for my bad typing skills ^^
woo. second comment. this song is fucking AMAZING. yay, chiodos. omg.
Simply put, this song is about doing something that you regret and feeling like shit because of it.
The lyrics make me sad :( Especially the last verse.
this song is. heavy. i love it alot. i could play it over and over. not quit sure on what exactly its about. prob something along the lines of somebody bringout the bad in them though..
i think this song is about finally finding the right girl and asking her to be their gf and she must have turned him down and about the last verse, maybe it means they realize they want each other now but it may be too late?
when he said i was wrong, graceless
it sounds like hes saying hes from graceland
haha :)
i love this song!
