I think this song is about a troubled bartender who needs to let go and experience the real world in ways not imaginable to human beings.

Why should he devote the extra few minutes it'd take him to write something meaningful when people will buy into any catchy hook, beat, or chorus that comes out. It's not that artists like T-pain, Akon, Lil Jon, etc can't write meaningful songs, it's that they have absolutely no reason to when they can do a half-assed job and make just as much, if not more money than people who devote a lot of time to writing meaningful lyrics.
T-pain isn't stupid, he isn't illiterate, he just knows he doesn't have to try too hard to get a hit.
