To me this song is about a man and women that once had a perfect relationship but everything went downhill once she met someone new. The man in this is begging for her to come back into his life and love him and not the new guy.
The new guy apparently made her fall in love all over again and made her love for the singer fade. She's also afraid of this whole situation she's afraid of what's next in this seemingly perfect relationship. So she tries to find a way out and succeeds.
