Eleanor Rigby (Beatles cover) Lyrics
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?
Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near.
Look at him working. Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?
No one comes near.
Look at him working. Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

i saw patd sing this live. it was really good. this is one of my favorite beatles songs. good job, patd
so you're supposed to cover some awful band with even awfuler songs?
This song is so grim and fascinating, i remember it really caught my attention when i was a kid, there was someting in the support vocal or something. If anybody saw that beatles movie they did, this song appears in a part of the story and it pictures a gray city. Nice job.
i honestly love Panic! and the Beatles, and just because the beatles are bigger than them doesnt mean they cant sing the song...this is my favorite Beatles song and Brendon did a nice job.
obviously:
Eleanor Rigby was a lonely woman who faked her happiness for others. She died a lonely woman, and nobody knew who she was. Nobody was saved because nobody knew, and whatnot.
sorry.
this cover song has the same meaning of the original song.
the end.
don't get me wrong, i love panic but you should never cover a song by a band greater than yours. epic fail.
