to me this song is about someone who is helping his friend see that he can become the things he wants to be. And that he will never let him down even if he made the wrong decision.

To me this song is about andy trying to explain to a girl that he`ll always be there for her no matter what and that he loves her and he wishes she could trust him. But he can't get her attention and he wants to see her eyes to be sure that she trusts him
