Raising Your Voice... Trying To Stop An Echo Lyrics

You swore you'd never be them
You're just like them
You're just like them now
All the times you said you hate them
Just to hurt them
You're just like them
You're just like them now
Such a cold place that you live in
When you blame them
You're just like them
Still the stars shine down on your skin
Do you see them?
Youre just like them now

icouldseethedude: i took the lyrics from the album booklet so im just going to leave them as is

downstreamer: who cares its a good song. im not a christian myself but i can appreciate a good song when i hear one and i dont see what any of hammocks material has to do with being "born again" anyway

The original lyrics posted are correct.

@downstreamer: show me proof of their "material which just glaringly exposes their born-again-Christian trashiness."

I see maybe one tune that has word which some may be considered religious, but the lyrics make no direct reference to support that statement. On top of that, most of their material don't have lyrics, so a claim such as that is absurd. High five, dude.

@gary, thanks for posting lyrics. Its a very good song and has a lot of meaning. It tells the story of any person/character who has hatred/vengence for a person/group of people and in time ends up becoming just like them from being enveloped in that hate/jelousy for so long, where they now live in a cold world. We see this character a lot in Anime's or movies. To me this is an awesome song cause I love stories with dark hero's, or tragic villains. Those who endure suffering.

@downstreamer, man if you dont like song why would u post? I dont go to linkon park songs, or country songs or whatever saying there lame. Besides like msrx said they only have one real song that i know of with clear lyrics anyway. Im not religious but i can appriciate good music. what inspires music doesnt matter. It didnt stop people from liking that kid touching michale jackson any less.. i still love his music.

I think this song tries to tell us that we no longer have to be people who hates, judges others and so on... Hammock remind us that we are all special, the present is really a gift (a present, for real). Friends, let's just stop acting so small, so stupid, may every action of ours be every day more and more concious of what we really are: a miracle of Love. Love is the way to look at things, the way to understand reality, and the way to be a part of It. In Love, all things are connected, all things become complete, we become One, but still ourselves.
