broken-bee (light me) Lyrics

fingers, like tall grass
dance on the ceiling
like needle and thread
through shadows and lips
and with,
a kiss
our skin mysteriously melts

your skin glows
like coals, like honey
i am buzzed, like a bee
but you float
and i fall
broken-bee takes spectacular dives
broken-bee takes spectacular dives

i'm awfully available
in so many shapes

waiting for you to light me (x8)

i'll admit that the only reason i know about this band is because i looked up paul dano on wikipedia and saw the link to his band's website. i expected them to be kind of stupid (like 30 seconds to mars or something) but i loved this song. it's so pretty. i think of it like a guy who keeps messing up, and this girl is the one he counts on to help him and sort of keep him from himself. i don't know if that's what they meant by it, but anyway. it's a beautiful song, and i hope that mook makes more stuff in the future.

I'll admit it too. I did the same thing as woobin. Is there ANYTHING that's not on Wikipedia?

That's besides the point though. What I mean is that this is an unbelievably moving song and soft and pretty and amazing.

I like it.

Me too =] There is one thing that's not on wikipedia: a page for the band.

I love mook.

Damn Paul Dano's sexy perfection.

I did the exact same thing. HA! for the past week i've been legitimately obsessed with Paul Dano, and this song is exactly why I love him. it's sweet and tender and simple in a very intelligent way. and he sings it with such restraint. jesus christ.

I also found them after I wiki'd Paul, being blown away by his performance in There Will Be Blood (moreso after I found out his age and preparation time). At first I listened to their songs a few times, and liked it but figured I was projecting onto the band because I was impressed with Paul's acting. Then I listened to them some more. And after a while, I realized I couldn't stop listening to them. It's chronic somebody please help me - I'm addicted to Mook.
