23 Days Lyrics
Your kiss was a perfect drug
It gave me the perfect high
How can cheaters fall in love?
They all deserve to die
I need to feel you again
I need your lips on my skin
For one night I could be him
Or I could be better
In your eyes, I thought I saw tomorrow
Now all I see is wasted time
Can we pretend it’s always been okay?
We never lost it all, lost it all
Can we pretend we never let this fade?
We never lost it all, lost it all
Time’s not much of a friend
After 23 days
My patience has reached it’s end
But I’d take you back anyway
Hold your breath
You make the perfect sounds
This is what a love is made of
And baby you’ve been missing out
In your eyes, I thought I saw tomorrow
Now all I see is wasted time
Can we pretend it’s always been okay?
We never lost it all, lost it all
Can we pretend we never let this fade?
We never lost it all, lost it all
Let’s reintroduce our shadows
Watch them become one
This room is out of oxygen
And I’m not nearly done
The familiar taste of your body
Is how I know this is right
I’m not asking for tomorrow
I’m just asking for tonight
Can we pretend it’s always been ok?
We never lost it all, lost it all
Can we pretend we never let this fade?
We never lost it all, lost it all
The familiar taste of your body
Is how I know this is right
Why worry about tomorrow?
It gave me the perfect high
How can cheaters fall in love?
They all deserve to die
I need your lips on my skin
For one night I could be him
Or I could be better
Now all I see is wasted time
We never lost it all, lost it all
Can we pretend we never let this fade?
We never lost it all, lost it all

she cheated... and they are through... possibly she left him for the other guy... but he still wants her even though she did what she did.. he wants everything to go back to the way it was... he's frusterated that they aren't together anymore because of what she did but he would still take her back if she wanted him back... i think in the end of the song that they spend a night together again and thats all he really wanted is for one more night to be the way it was before...
this song seems kinda bipolar but i love it... its such a great song
@gustava1986 I call it the perfect breakup song because it's so bipolar. Who hasn't had the relationship end in a big ball of flames and still want the person?

i love this song. its about a guy and a girl who break up and he still wants her even though he knows its over he just wants to pretend that everythings fine and nothing bad happened between them and just be with her again and not worry about anything else but that
i also think its about what i just said and having sex with your ex too hence the "i need to feel you again i need your lips on my skin" and "hold your breath you make the perfect sounds" =]
I love the inntro
Yep, I think his girlfriend cheated on him as well, but he still loves him and he can't let go of what the had and he can't let go of what he wants them both to become.
gustava1986, I also think this song is a bit bipolar as well. Especially how there are parts where he seems like hes willing and wanting and hoping to mend things between them and then he jumps from that to saying that what they had was wasted time. One of the lines that shows it is: "My patience has reached it’s end But I’d take you back anyway"
i think this is my favorite FH song, next to alone in this bed. (:
but i think where you have "the familiar face of your body" is actually "the familiar TASTE of your body"
thats what it sounds like to me, anyway. and it kind of goes along better with the whole sex theme.
:D
You're right about "the familiar taste of your body," this song is great.

@xdearvanity I was sure it was familiar TASTE as well. Also, I thought it was "Time's not much of a friend..." Not "this town's... " Also, I thought it was, "we never let this fade" But that could be me mishearing the lyrics.

this song is about a guy and his girlfriend breaking up and hes still in love with her and would do anything to be with her for at least one night. and/ or wants to maybe try their relationship out again. and this all takes place (obviously) 23 days later.
i actually listened to this song ironically the 23rd day me and my boyfriend (well ex now) broke up. it matched my feelings so perfectly that i listened to it literally 100 times that day. this is one of my favorite songs by framing hanley.
It's about sex. Its about being in a relationship with a person and when its over with the one thing that you miss is the sex and that is it.
You guys are amazing.
I think this is oddly funny. I was with one of my friend-girls at a Framing Hanley concert. We had kind of crushed on each other back and forth in the past, but then at the concert she randomly turned around and kissed me. A few weeks later she started dating some tool on an impulse...never really gave me a chance.
Albeit, this was during "Count Me In" but I just feel like this song fits that whole situation (there's more to it but no need for further explanation) for me.
