Sweet Freedom Lyrics
As you look around
Do you like what you see?
Though it sometimes
Makes you lonely
Do you like being free?
And are you sure you'll be okay
Without my company?
I just want you to be happy
Even if it's not with me
Sweet, sweet freedom
Sweet, sweet sweet
Will the line between all this
And my love ever meet
Sweet, sweet freedom
Sweet, sweet, sweet
What i'm really trying to say
Is that I will be around
Should you find that after all
You can't get by
With what you found
Oh it wasn't just my heart you took
And gently tossed into the sea
Though it's hard to find
The words I need -
I guess it was me
Will the line between all this
And my love ever gonna meet
Sweet, sweet freedom
Sweet, sweet, sweet
Oh, sweet, oh sweet freedom
So sweet, so sweet
Do you like what you see?
Though it sometimes
Makes you lonely
Do you like being free?
And are you sure you'll be okay
Without my company?
I just want you to be happy
Even if it's not with me
Sweet, sweet sweet
Will the line between all this
And my love ever meet
Sweet, sweet freedom
Sweet, sweet, sweet
Is that I will be around
Should you find that after all
You can't get by
With what you found
And gently tossed into the sea
Though it's hard to find
The words I need -
I guess it was me
And my love ever gonna meet
Sweet, sweet freedom
Sweet, sweet, sweet
So sweet, so sweet

looking back at this song it could have been about the realationship between ken hensley and david byron even though it was a few years later when the rift began to show i think the opening lines fit the way things ended up between them the freedom they enjoyed after heep was never as good when they were at their best together this is expressed in this song what im really trying to say is that i will be around should you find that after all you cant get by with what youve found which david byron never managed to do away from heep
