Birds And The Bees Lyrics
Where, oh where does the water
Come from the mountain
Come from the sea
Search between the angles
Rocks in the rivers
Bring them to me
Where, oh where does the fire
Keep all the fever
More than I need
Sadness turns up to gladness
When everything's burning
You know what I mean
Get into the car to make the light
To go fast, to go slow
To make the light
Don't take shh, crucify it
To breathe in, to breathe out
To kick a habit
Give it all you've got
To do it right, to get it wrong
To get caught
To start another day like yesterday
To start another day like yesterday
Why, oh why do the birds
Do all the flying
It could be me
Taking everything southern
The weather is warmer
Good place to be
Why, oh why do the bees
Need a beekeeper
Let them alone
Taking all of their honey
Isn't it greedy
Leaving them none
Get into the car to make the light
To go fast, to go slow
To make the light
Don't take shh, crucify it
To breathe in, to breathe out
To kick a habit
Give it all you've got
To do it right, to get it wrong
To get caught
To start another day like yesterday
To start another day like yesterday
Where oh
Why oh
Get into the car to make the light
To go fast, to go slow
To make the light
Don't take shh, crucify it
To breathe in, to breathe out
To kick a habit
Give it all you've got
To do it right, to get it wrong
To get caught
To start another day like yesterday
To start another day like yesterday
Why
Come from the mountain
Come from the sea
Rocks in the rivers
Bring them to me
Keep all the fever
More than I need
When everything's burning
You know what I mean
To go fast, to go slow
To make the light
To breathe in, to breathe out
To kick a habit
To do it right, to get it wrong
To get caught
To start another day like yesterday
Do all the flying
It could be me
The weather is warmer
Good place to be
Need a beekeeper
Let them alone
Isn't it greedy
Leaving them none
To go fast, to go slow
To make the light
To breathe in, to breathe out
To kick a habit
To do it right, to get it wrong
To get caught
To start another day like yesterday
Why oh
To go fast, to go slow
To make the light
To breathe in, to breathe out

To get caught
To start another day like yesterday

this song sounds really relaxing. my favorite lyric from The Bird and the Bee is probably "Don't take shh, crucify it To breathe in, to breathe out". Let go of any negativity, stress, and general crap. otherwise, you won't be able to breathe. If that makes sense.
I always thought the song was about getting high after stressful work days and being stuck in a rut, and your mind wandering on nonsense things the way it does when you're high.
"Sadness turns up to gladness when everything's burning... know what I meeeeaannnnn~~~~?"
but then, those work rut days that we all have:
"Get into the car to make the light. Go fast. Go slow to make the (yellow) light. (morning commute) Don't take sh-t, crucify it. (work politics) Air. Breathe in, breathe out. To kick a habit. (smoking on break) Give it all you got to do it right to get it wrong. to get caught. (my boss sucks too)
To start another day like yesterday. :( To start another day like yesterday..... T_T
But once she's off work... "whyyy... do all the birds... do all the flying? Maybe it's meeee~~~~"
