There's spiders in your room
But there always will be
There's people to be fooled
And there always has been
Hold out your hand
Hold out your hand, I will carry you
Hold out your hand
Hold out your hand; come back to me
Come back to me
With your back to the wall
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown
Every little piece
Pulls in its own direction
Please, love, don't be scared
It's just your own reflection
Hold out your hand
Hold out your hand, I will carry you
Hold out your hand,
Hold out your hand; come back to me
Come back to me
With your back to the wall
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown
When the rain is coming down,
When the rain is coming down,
When the rain, the rain
With your back to the wall
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown
With your back to the wall
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown, better unknown
But there always will be
There's people to be fooled
And there always has been
Hold out your hand, I will carry you
Hold out your hand
Hold out your hand; come back to me
Come back to me
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown
Pulls in its own direction
Please, love, don't be scared
It's just your own reflection
Hold out your hand, I will carry you
Hold out your hand,
Hold out your hand; come back to me
Come back to me
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown
When the rain is coming down,
When the rain, the rain
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown
You've got one place to fall
Sometimes it's all
Better unknown, better unknown

Here is my take on the song:
"There's spiders in your room But there always will be" I think he is singing to someone who is very insecure...always scared, surrounded by 'spiders' or negativity.
There's people to be fooled And there always has been" He is saying they pretend to be strong in front of other and has always put up a brave-face.
"Hold out your hand Hold out your hand, I will carry you...come back to me." He is telling her that she can lean on him, and that they should try again as her insecurities made her leave.
"With your back to the wall You've got one place to fall" He is saying that she is playing it safe...scared of taking risks...like standing with your back against the wall so that you know where you will fall...if you were to fall
:Sometimes it's all Better unknown" He is telling her its sometimes better to leave things up to chance, see what happens.
"Every little piece Pulls in its own direction" She is unsure and her feelings scattered Please, love, don't be scared It's just your own reflection" Again she is insecure, scared of things which she need not be scared of
About a loved one who has past away resting in a coffin.
Nearly all the new stuff is about someone passing away.
beatiful song about missing someone i guess
"sometimes it's all better unknown", i think.
This is a very nice song. And I'm sure you guys are right that it's about someone passing away but I can't really understand the metaphores (if that's what it is) in the song. The only way I can see it's about someone passing away is the "Hold out your hand, or we'll carry you" part and the chorus aswell.
First verse for example.. what is it with these spiders?
The correct lyrics are, "Hold out your hand, I will carry you."
"Wiith your back to the wall you've got one place to fall. Sometimes it's all better unknown".
Best lyrics and groove of the entire album!
Theres spiders in your room But there always will be There's people to be fooled And there always has been
I think this is about there always will be people who don't like you, who does bad for you, don't understand you etc. There never will be everything good in this life. Always will be some ''spiders'', spiders - bad things, moments or wrong people.
With your back to the wall You've got one place to fall Sometimes its all better Better unknown
Sometimes you make mistakes, risk and do something you after regret. So it's better sometimes to don't know what would be if you risked. But life is never perfect. There always will be some things you regret.
Every little piece pulls In its own direction Please love dont be scared It's just your own reflection
Hold out your hand Hold out your hand Or we'll carry you
It's about someone who loves one person, saying don't scare to be with me, there always will be bad things, but we'll hold them together.
The Spiders metaphor is fairly straight forward. The clue to it comes from "It's Better Unknown" at the end. Spiders are like rats, you're always within close proximity of tem but a lot of the time we're oblivious to them. It's one thing to feel comfortable and safe, it's another to acknowledge whats around you. He then goes on to provide further examples of this. "There are people to be fooled, but there always has been", comments probably about some people attitude to the Iraq wat and how so many were quite happy to have the wool pulled over their eyes. How it's easy to feel protected but sometimes we must face the truth that the situation we're in is a frightening one.
That's my shout on the meaning anywhere
