So, In This Hour... Lyrics
So long before
you stood so long at my door
abundantly you have asked
have you received
is this everything that you've hoped for
is this everything you've dreamed
well im not sure
if don't really mean it
Life and history repeated
I will see visions vividly
of how everything will end the same
is this everthing you've hoped for
is this everything you've dreamed
i want it to be
the real point is, see
So, in this hour
everything i do
will be all for this moment
everything's for you
my heart is open
and willin'
so take it
get up, get up, get up
So much feeling
oh my soul is singing
and everybody feels the same
is this everything that you've hoped for
is this everthing you've dreamed
i think it is
the real point is, see
So, in this hour
everything i do
will be all for this moment
everythings for you
my heart is open
and willin'
so take it
Stay in place
when theres so many things to say
i wanna help and not just hesitate
but i just don't
but i just don't
so please take my life and use it, I'm ready
Oh, Oh, Oh....
you stood so long at my door
abundantly you have asked
have you received
is this everything that you've hoped for
is this everything you've dreamed
well im not sure
if don't really mean it
I will see visions vividly
of how everything will end the same
is this everthing you've hoped for
is this everything you've dreamed
i want it to be
the real point is, see
everything i do
will be all for this moment
everything's for you
my heart is open
and willin'
so take it
oh my soul is singing
and everybody feels the same
is this everything that you've hoped for
is this everthing you've dreamed
i think it is
the real point is, see
everything i do
will be all for this moment
everythings for you
my heart is open
and willin'
so take it

but i just don't
but i just don't
so please take my life and use it, I'm ready

i see this song as living in the moment. taking a chance. hoping for the best. just putting it all out there.
i agree with ellie117. i know that bryce is a christian artist to some extent and i think that comes out in this song. when he says "everything will end the same" i would say he is referring to the fact that everyone is going to die eventually and the rest of the song talks about living a life now that will set you apart even if is out of our comfort zone. awesome song, can't wait for july 17
love it!
"so please take my life and use it, I'm ready"
I think this line nails down who its to... I don't really see this being sung to a girl
I definitely see this as a Christian song, a conversation with God if you will. Bryce is saying that he's finally ready to live for God & dedicate all that he does to Him. The last line always gives me chills & I feel it sums up the entire point of the song when looked at as being directed to God: "so please take my life & use it... I'm ready"
I think it's "if the real point is seen."
this song is fucking EPIC when bryce performs it live. he puts so much emotion and passion in his voice when he sings, it's incredible. he switches from guitar to piano during the song, and he was just phenomenal at both. ahhh, i definately recommend you see him live before he gets big, cause i'm pretty sure he will. and i definately agree with sx_edge. most of bryce's songs are linked to his faith, but are sometimes misinterpreted as love songs. well maybe they can double in meanings, which makes bryce such a talented writer. SHIT, i'm rambling, sorry. lol, um but yeah, i see this as a song about God and how he's willing to do what he asks him to do.
it makes me really happy seeing all of these people realizing he is NOT talking about a girl and he is talking about god. this is my favorite song, it literally gives me chills and i give so much respect to bryce because even though the words are simple, they are so powerful and he makes me want to continue living my life for god =]] go bryce
I love this song so much. It's the PERFECT finale to Do You Feel! I often find myself worshiping to this song, even at his concert. It's something I'll never forget.
I definatly think this is directed toward god. Especially the line, "Please take my life and use it, I'm ready" Totally towards god.
