i'm pretty sure this song is about the lead singer's mom dying, and how her memory kind of haunts him, but then he comes to terms with her death and is able to let it go. For me personally, this song helped me come to terms with an awful breakup, and whenever i listen to it it helps me let go.
The vocals are so amazing, one of the things i love the most about The Fold is how you can feel the emotion in very song. <3
