Fantasy Lyrics

Have you ever lost your mind,
Finding streets you couldn't find.
Have you ever been so scared in your life?

Yeah, the town was alive.
Good luck on no one's side.
And the trip lasted long,
Like we were trekking for days.

But I recall, we ran, we ran away.
Along the streets in the rain,
Streets in the rain.
You took my hands,
We found a place.
And we got away from them, away from them.
And our day was based on fantasy.
But we never knew.

Oh, I love how we complain.
How our stomachs were in pain.
And the only thing that you could do was call for your Mom.

Yeah, we started to shout.
(We started to shout).
Yeah, we started to shout.
(We started to shout).
And we walked on the docks and started flowing away.

But I recall, we ran, we ran away.
And we got away from them, away from them.
And our day was based on fantasy,
But we never knew.

All I know, is that we were lost boys.
Just trying to find our way back home.
And all I know, is that I'm a crazy boy.
Just trying to, just trying to,
Just trying to be someone.

We're trying to be someone, oh.
And so I ran, we ran away.
And we got away from them, away from them.
And our day was based on fantasy.
But we never knew...

love how mah and jesse borrow between this song and i used to be a devil. don't know about the shrooms theory. i think it's more about having that child-like innocence and pretending like they're doing all this stuff. cute song.

this might be a long shot here, but i'll try. i think the song is about the band.. if not the band, then maybe the person who wrote the lyrics and just a friend of his. but i'll just go with the band theory. i think good luck on no one's side is them seeing everyone around them not pursuing their dreams, especially the other local bands maybe? the place they found is in their music, possibly even in tour. there's the escape. the reference to finding their way back home is making it witht heir band. and the fantasy is the band, because it's better than anything they could imagine.

i didn't really think any of this through, i just kind of let it flow with no editing. so don't bash on this too hard, i know it has a high potenial of being very wrong hahah.

yeah the jesse barrera and mah combonation of songs thing is cool but i like "i use to be a devil better" well the lyrics of it. larry has a more unique voice though

I always saw this song as about adolescents trying not to grow up. So they live in a fantasy world and just run around and have fun all the time. I might be wrong though haha.

i think this song is about realizing you're an adult, but that you can't give up your adolescence. it's about the crazy things youths do, and i think he's reflecting on specific experience and a relationship he had when he was young..

it's about trying to make sense of yourself in this crazy world where one wants to retain their youth, but has to grow up at some point. but when you're in this music profession, it's so hard because you're always moving and away from home and nothing is stable.
