i think he's referring to the realists and romantics in historic literary movements. like, 19th century realism, and 18th century romanticism. it kind of makes sense. because they're completely opposites, bu then it doesn't...because the ideas in both movements conflict with one another.
...or maybe i'm reading to much into it. anyways... i really like this song. it's been in my head all day.

The chorus to this song is me me me. I can't believe it. I AM a realist when it comes to love, but I DO have my head completely in the clouds when it come to love also..and I am the most indesisive person you will ever meet. I was in shock when I heard this chorus. The Cribs do have better songs though..
