And head up, dear, you're shallow and blind
And head up, dear, the rabbit might die
Because I'm putting the boot in, tonight
And head up, dear, you're shallow and blind
And head up, dear, the rabbit might die
And you say hi, and you say hi
Because I'm putting up with your constant whine
And that won't last too long
And friendly faces with put on smiles
A drunken mind game past
Because I'm putting the boot in tonight
And head up, dear, you're shallow and blind
And head up, dear, the rabbit might die
And you say hi, and you say hi
Because I'm putting up with your constant whine
And that won't last too long
And friendly faces with put on smiles
A drunken mind game past
Because I'm putting the boot in tonight
And head up, dear, the rabbit might die
Because I'm putting the boot in, tonight
And head up, dear, you're shallow and blind
And head up, dear, the rabbit might die
And you say hi, and you say hi
Because I'm putting up with your constant whine
And that won't last too long
And friendly faces with put on smiles
A drunken mind game past
Because I'm putting the boot in tonight
And head up, dear, you're shallow and blind
And head up, dear, the rabbit might die
And you say hi, and you say hi
Because I'm putting up with your constant whine
And that won't last too long
And friendly faces with put on smiles
A drunken mind game past
Because I'm putting the boot in tonight

And head up dear, you're shallow and blind
You don't understand that everybody has bigger problems
And head up dear, the rabbit might die
???
Because I'm putting the boot in tonight
I'm putting my foot down
And head up dear, you're shallow and blind And head up dear, the rabbit might die And you say hi
You try to start again
And you say hi Because I'm putting up with your constant whine
Self explanatory
And that won't last too long
I'm putting my foot down
And friendly faces with put-on smiles
Everybody is faking their smiles
A drunken mind game past
???
Because I'm putting the boot in tonight
And head up dear, you're shallow and blind And head up dear, the rabbit might die And you say hi And you say hi Because I'm putting up with your constant whine And that won't last too long And friendly faces with put-on smiles A drunken mind game past Because I'm putting the boot in tonight
The rabbit might die is probably a reference to the first type of pregnancy test, called a rabbit test, where they would inject a females urine into a rabbit and if the woman was pregnant something in the urine would kill the rabbit. When someone got pregnant they would say the rabbit has died.
Putting the boot in means to do something to someone with particular brutality. It comes from kicking someone when they're down but can be applied, as I suggest it would be in this case, to giving someone a really nasty verbal kicking.

A very bitter song
best
I believe i found this on e-music and they're pretty good, no idea about the song meaning though. British and noisy and nothing really wrong with that.
british? lol, yeah it is obvious that they're scottish. get your accents straightt.
and what do you even mean by 'noisy'..? using that word to describe any band or artist is insulting.. good music isn't supposed to sound like noise--the definition of noise is "a nonharmonious or discordant group of sounds".
that word should only be used if it's a sound that sucks ass.
get your head out of your butt, charcoalsketch. FYI there is a music genre called noise, and you aren't really in any position to decide the definition in a context that you clearly don't understand.
Yeah.. And if you look at the album notes, one of the listed instruments is "Noise". Also, Scots are British.
Thy are pretty obviously Scottish.
I'm pretty sure the "and you say hi" line is "and you say how?", but the thick Scottish accent makes it sound like 'hi'.
I think the song is just about getting sick of someone who is petty and shallow, etc. The singer is tired of putting up with her, and is putting his foot down.
