This song is absolutely amazing-So beautiful and it actually brings me to tears. This just an opinion, but maybe you'll agree: I think the sounds are trying to replicate everyday things, mundane tasks and a passing of time. Then they added the acoustic guitar, and it feels lighter, and magical-Like finding beauty in every day. This album reflects a lot on mortality, and the fact that we all will die. He's saying to be aware of all of the beautiful things in life, including your special someone-The concept of loving that one person until you both die-Don't take them for granted, say "I love you" one more time, because it might me your last chance to tell them. Life is fragile, and short, so if you find one person that you want to spend the rest of your life, don't let them get away.

I think dilemma meant that this is a rip-off of something MCR did, or their style, or just Gerard, or something.

That was my first guess, but, hey, I dunno' XD

And I think you people are insane for saying this is one of the greatest ballads but they can turn around and pull off "brilliant" hardcore efforts. There's not a whole lot that's brilliant about hardcore, and even if there was, The Used is an okay, maybe even good band, but they're not the best, not even close. They can't even put their name in the hat for contendorship.

Here's my take on the beginning (since no one seems to like it). First of all, it reminds me of Stomp, what with making everyday noises into catchy beats and rhythms. Check Stomp out if you're not familiar with it. For sure. Going off of what I said earlier, to me these "everyday noises" (not that ripping duct tape off of someone's mouth is necessarily everyday noises) represent the daily grind and everyday life that sometimes just gets repetitive and boring. But then the beautiful guitar riff enters with a little bit of kick drum to reinforce the beat and it's like the song is saying to me, "see, you can find beauty in the most unlikely places!"

To match with the song's theme, it's kind of like someone is just bored and tired of their life except for this one gleaming jewel that happens to be the girl that he loves. She is the diamond in the rough so to speak.

Perhaps that's way too much analyzing for a "food loop"... but that's the explanation I formed in my head before reading any other explanations. Don't be hating on the beginning.

this is seriously my new favorite song....the used ROCK! i love how they have both a soft & hard side in their music and sometimes combine the two in one song....AWESOME! they are my favorite band, knocking breaking benjamin in 2nd, LOL!

I honestly only just like the chorus from this song, and I like that the repeat it a lot. It's cute and catchy.
