I think it's supposed to be: "your eyes without expression, there's nothing special in their gaze"
She's saying she did love him. Roses are red and she did love him, but doesn't want to admit it. She's saying things that are obviously true are false. She said the sky isn't blue and the sun isn't a source of light when we all know they are. It's her way of telling herself she never loved him when secretly she knows she did. She's in denial. It's a beautifulllllll song.

Song about denial. I agree with HeroGarec. If you lie about your love, you could as easily lie about the sky and the sun and all the other things that are obviously true (and any fool could see what's true). Because everyone can see that you love the person and it DID change something in your life.
