This is my favorite Rascal Flatts song. It is sung so well. And I love how the lyrics are about irony. A guy is planning on leaving his girl and keeps thinking about how much it will hurt her. Then when the day comes for him to leave, she's gone. She beat him to it and left HIM. Amazing song:] I LOVE RF!!

A friend told me a story about this song but I don't know how true it is but ill share it anyway. She told me the song was the true story about a man who wanted to leave his wife and when he finally decided to do it , he found that she had taken her own life.

I disagree that the song is about the girl taking her own life. I think it was the guy's worst fear to leave the girl and when he does, he finds that she is gone. But if she was going to leave why did she kiss him and tell him she loved him the night before?

@countrymusic333.... why do people leave notes for their loved ones before they kill themselves? because they cared. she was going to to leave him and told him that she loved him because she did.
