Great comeback, song of 2007 so far for me.

sounds like a song about feeling awkward in social situations, but having a friend who is totally cool who you want to be more like, or who you wish you could ask what you're doing wrong so you can correct it

Can I fix it and still care? (how can I be cool without being a dick?) Can I run and you'll be there? (Can you help me out? Because you're so cool) Wish that I could run and hide (I feel so awkward) Juggling messages inside (I hear double meanings to everything) Stalling, trying to buy more time (Faking it til I make it)

Can I be a part of you? (Can I be like you?) How to get there, what to do? (What do I have to do?) Can I get there from inside? (Does it come from inside me OR Can I get inside of you and figure out how to be cool) Of all the ways I could have tried (I've tried alot of things to be cool) Can I be there all the time? (Sometimes I am cool! I wish I could be there all the time)

Is it all me? (Sort of a double meaning - he's asking is it all up to me to be cool, but he's also asking, does it come from inside vs. something you do on the outside)

Can I feel another way? (can i feel better about myself or something? it's not all just smoke and mirrors, the way I show myself to the world) Can I bring out to stay? (I'd like to be this way - cool - more often) Can you capture what I've done? (can you dissect the actions I've done to feel more cool so I can duplicate them) Play it back so I don't run (help me feel comfortable with this new me) Now I'm walking on the sun (?)

It's not mine (you don't have control over being cool) Take me fine (he's submitting to being himself) With a smile (i'm cool with my weirdness) Been there all the time (now he's saying, i've always been cool, but it took me a while to figure out how to let that person live outside of me)
