In the music video the song is about secret and deceptive lives of a family 1-the mother is an alcoholic 2-the father is a gambling addict 3-the daughter is a slut 4-the son is a smoker in the end, theyre sitting at the table as if theres no problem so in my opinion, "its just a matter of time" before you become your parents
and before anyone jumps down my throat, i chose the word slut because she has a b/f who had JUST text her saying he loved her, but she closes the phone and jumps on the first guy she sees like her b/f doesnt matter
i dont think slut is the right word to come to mind. i just feel like she's done with him. and she just wants to party. but he's still all. oooh i love you. and she reads it and is like i dont care. so she's ready to live out her life? not ready to settle down and end up like her alcoholic mother.
