To me this song is about someone who wants to get away from everything in their past. They may have done some things that they shouldn't have and hurt themselves on the way and the only way they can stop it hurting is to get away completely. People are trying to tell them everything is fine but they know it isn't so they are running away!
this is a great song, I heard it while I was watching Ghost Whisperer and I ran to download it, I think it has great lyrics and a sweet melody with a great rock end... This song is abuot leaving, being tired of the past and when you just want to start a new life, but first you have to leave everything and then is when your friends or family don't understand what you're doing and they think you're wrong just because you want to change... A very good song

Actually, she sent this song around, and she sent it not as a message or what, just thought it was freaking awesome, and yeah i think the song really rocks. just find fate so ironic. we're all running away. sorry for my outburst.

For me this song is about two people who love each other but their relationship was unresolved. Years pass and one of them is frustrated with the lack of communication and heart from the other. So that person decides they need to let go and to live their life and leave the past in the past. So this person runs away and leaves this place, which is the past.
Great piano in this. This song is about losing someone/breaking up/and or simply running and not wanting to face it almost in the since that you want to deny it even happened. I believe it can be interpreted in those three ways no matter how you listen to it.
