Paradigm Lyrics
theres a man, standing on a street corner in New York
he is crossing his feet
and he looks at the sky and he feels with his right eye the longing for a love that resembles this paradigm
fly on
to the star on the right and i'll show you a world where the love never dies
yeah.
it's a world on a star,
you've been searching too hard
location, reliable
third star on the right, one too far
i need you like a big gull needs the east shore wind
like dreams are essential for imaginative kids
your like big sail on the ship in the sky
that propelled the angry captain
when the kids learned to fly
so fly on, fly on, ohhh fly on
fly on, fly ooonnn ohh fly on
may this love never die
now, the man that was standing by the street corner
takes a step on the street that will cross to his dreams
with his mind on the sky, and his love on a high
finding out that a love that was true had not been in his life
fly on to the star in her eye and this maiden will show you the laughter and the light
and he feels with his heart,
hes been searching too hard
for love much more tangible
a girl he can wear like a scarf
i need you like a sea gull needs the east shore wind
like dreams are essential for imaginative kids
your like big sail on the ship in the sky
that propelled the angry captain
when the kids learned to fly
so fly on, fly on, ohhh fly on
fly on, fly ooonnn ohh fly on
may this love never die
i need you like a sea gull needs the east shore wind
like dreams are made for imaginative kids
your like big sail on the ship in the sky
that sent the angry captain in his place in the tide
so fly on, fly on, ohhh fly on
fly on, fly ooonnn ohh fly on
may this love never die
he is crossing his feet

haha thanks for these lyrics, i was never able to decipher the chorus. i can't figure out too much about what the song is about, but it's a combination of dreaming and loving. :)
i know this is going to sound OUTRAGEOUSLY silly but everytime i hear this song i think of Peter Pan.
"like dreams are essential for imaginative kids your like big sail on the ship in the sky that propelled the angry captain when the kids learned to fly so fly on, fly on, ohhh fly on "
because in Peter Pan, the kids needed to believe before they could fly, and it made Captain Hook mad when they all learned to fly.. and it sounds very typical of Jake to write a song that has a crazy background to it.
but I dont know, maybe im just over thinking things lol
I've always thought peter Pan too! "third star on the right, one too far" Neverland is the second star to the right, and all of the searching for a love that is tangible stuff fits the whole theme of Peter Pan too.
