Epoch of War (The Physics of Fire Pt 3) Lyrics
The number of men who carried the flame continued to increase
And a massive force was gathered just outside the prison
Where the evil one had trapped the souls of men
And with a sounding trumpet
In an instant the siege was underway
The forces of humanity swarmed the enemy camp
They stormed the gates relentlessly
Waving their torches and shouting together
There is none that can stand against the power of fire
And a massive force was gathered just outside the prison
Where the evil one had trapped the souls of men
And with a sounding trumpet
In an instant the siege was underway
The forces of humanity swarmed the enemy camp
They stormed the gates relentlessly
Waving their torches and shouting together
There is none that can stand against the power of fire

This passage shows the ultimate destiny of the Satan, the enemy. At the sound of a trumpet, alludes to the rapture. While Satan may exert power on the earth now, in time, not even he can stand against the power of fire (Jesus). The finale is The Balance Of Eternity (The Physics Of Fire Pt. 4).
I think this part is describing the fight to reclaim our souls from darkness. It's figuratively describing us coming together and battling to free our souls from evil and sin, and the only way to do that is to use the Fire Of Jesus Christ (You know, the "fire in our hearts")
What a great song. The meaning is pretty straightforward, the people carrying the flames are Christians, they have the light of God. The number of Christians is increasing as the gospel is spread throughout the world, and this song is about the power of spreading the gospel we have through Christ (None can stand against the power of fire). The enemy camp is talking about those who are not saved, and Christians are seen as rescuers by "storming the gates" and bringing them the message of life.
I agree with all of you, this is one great song as well!
